In 2008 a TV documentary highlighted the need for renewable applications to assist with plastic pollution of our oceans and GSPC’s founder, Trevor Wakefield, embarked on his mission to improve the design of roof tiles that are based on early 19th century design, relying upon their weight to perform against high wind uplift speeds frequented in the UK.

 

The concept of using waste plastic for supply to a mass market in the form of lightweight roof tiles was conceived. The patented design provides a unique interlocking system which provides outstanding performance against extreme high wind uplift loads frequented throughout the UK and Europe.

 

Over the past decade millions of Envirotile Roof Tiles have been manufactured and supplied throughout the UK, being installed on all types of roof projects, house extensions to new build and large commercial roofs such as churches and supermarket chains.
